Filipino triathlete targets P1-million in donations for kids in need

 Hundreds of triathletes and sports enthusiasts led by Senator Pia S. Cayetano will converge for twelve hours on Saturday, September 4, to raise funds for differently abled children at the 8th Gabriel’s Symphony Multi-Sport Celebration in Alabang, Muntinlupa.

"Although I welcome President Aquino's initiative and courage to take full responsibility for the failed rescue operation and mishandling of the Manila Hostage Crisis, this does not absolve others of their responsibilty. Ultimately, only the swift and credible investigation will allow us to make a full accounting of  the incident, including the responsibility of officials who had a more direct hand in dealing with the crisis."

STILL, BEST FOR BABIES. Breastfeeding advocate Senator Pia Cayetano sponsors a breastmilk letting activity at the Taguig City Hospital. Some 300 mothers responded to Cayetano's call to donate their own milk for the human milk bank and neo-natal facility of the Fabella Hospital in Manila. Taguig City Mayor Lani Cayetano and Medela Philippines also supported the event.

 A man who rapes a woman can offer to marry her to be absolved of the offense. The husband’s decision prevails over his wife in case of disagreement in the administration of conjugal property, among other marital conflicts. A provision in the Labor Code actually forbids all women, regardless of age, from working between 10:00 pm to 6:00 am.
